Carol Cone supports the fostering of new alliances between public and private partnerships to improve the community and empower both in a win-win outcome, as more and more Americans are demanding that companies play an active role in supporting social causes.

Examples of outcomes include the Avon Breast cancer Crusade, Reebok’s Human Rights awards and Polaroid’s Project KidCare. Cone implements the use of social media to help foster a stronger connection with social media users – talking to consumers rather than talking at them. Cone was involved in the Starbucks Global Responsibility initiative and worked with the PR Lions, who favor the creative use of repution management through trust building and the fostering of mutual understanding between people and business.

Carol Cone is also the originator of the new media Clickstart program which is designed to help businesses engage effectively with consumers online via social media channels. At the time of writing, Cone’s cause programs have raised more than $500 million for a variety social causes. Presently, Cone, Inc. is acknowledged as the nation’s top Cause Branding consultancy which is based on the fact that consumers like companies with a cause.  Carol Cone is a well sought after expert speaker on this topic. She is a founding member of Business for Social Responsibility and serves on the Board of trustees for the organisation, Save The Children.
